ELEMENT OF THE MONTH
The element of this month is ARGON, which is a noble gas and the third most abundant gas on the Earth's atmosphere. This element was isolated for the first time in 1894 by scientists at University College in London. To do this they used a sample of clean air and removed nitrogen, CO2, oxygen and water. Argon was the first noble gas to be found out and it is currently employed in lasers and cryosurgery procedures.
